- Engineers often encounter problems requiring deeper mathematical knowledge and better understanding of mathematical software than usually included in a Bachelors degree in Mathematics. Often the engineer must formulate the problem and solve or simulate it using mathematical software. The program Mathematical Modelling and Simulation gives applied knowledge meeting the demand from industry and applied research. Independent work is emphasized, often in projects similar to real industrial situations, as well as oral and written communication skills in English.
